Wild Ale - Other
A fresh take on a classic Belgian-style berry ale. We added 1/5 fresh juneberries for a few months to a blended base from our foeder and a pure Brettanomyces fermentation. The aroma showcases all the funk from wild yeasts, wrapped in an almost cherry-like fruitiness of juneberries. On the palate, the unusually high gravity of the beer envelops the cherry and aronia-like juneberry flavors. All of this exists within a typical wild fermentation landscape with a lasting aftertaste.
